Touken Ranbu Subtitles

Shall we begin?

These subtitles are a personal project, for my own enjoyment of the Touken Ranbu productions. Having put in the work, it would seem a shame not to bring that enjoyment to others. Please remember that I am not a professional subtitler, just a Japanese language learner. But I strive to be as accurate as I can.

I have no intention of replicating the hard work of others; subtitles for the earlier Touken Ranbu productions already exist.

I am only going to provide subtitle files (in ASS format), as I have no intention of pirating copyrighted content. DVDs of all the plays are available; I personally buy them through Amazon Japan. Winter and Summer were originally timed to the download version, Subtitles are also available for the DVD and Blu-ray version.

In order to use them, you need a movie player that allows you to add external subtitles, such as VLC.

Other subtitles will be released after release of DVDs. Please note, it can take months to subtitle a play to release quality

Please remember that these subtitles are the culmination of many hours work and took weeks to produce. I ask that you please don’t upload these subtitles as your own, but link to this site instead, thank you.
